Owala FreeSip: two drinking modes, with a hand-wash preference

That makes FreeSip a less suitable choice if avoiding hand washing is your main criterion. Its two drinking modes are the reason to accept the compromise. Do not apply these steps to FreeSip Twist, which has a different lid assembly.
What to check before paying
Compare the exact bundle, including the cap, rather than choosing a bottle body and assuming the accessory will match. A sale listing with a different lid changes this decision. For the dishwasher options, check that your rack has room for the bottle and that small removable parts can be contained during the wash.
Then compare the final price for your chosen size and color. The capacities here differ: a 32 oz bottle is not a like-for-like size replacement for a 24 oz bottle. Choose the capacity you will carry comfortably before paying more for a drinking mechanism you will rarely use.
